Every weekend, I like to share a curated list of retro & nostalgia-themed news, articles, stories, and posts that I’ve come across in the last week. It gives you a chance to escape the daily grind, and just sit back and pass the time reading about the good old days. So with that in mind, here are some things I wanted to share with you this week.
In the News
- Judging by a first look at the next season of Cobra Kai, Karate’s Bad Boy Mike Barnes is back and joining the fight!
- According to The Hollywood Reporter, there is a live-action Pac-Man movie in the works, and some of the team that brought Sonic the Hedgehog to the big screen is working on it.
- Speaking of Sonic the Hedgehog…Sonic the Hedgehog 3 now has its release date.
- I posted this news nugget earlier this week, but it bears repeating here in case you missed it. Frute Brute is returning to the monsters cereal lineup this year.
- In sad news from the world of television, Roger Mosley has passed away due to injuries he suffered in a car accident. You probably best remember him from his role as TC on the original Magnum P.I.
- Fresh off of debuting their rebooted Sectuars line, The Nacelle Co. has released plans for their Power Lords reboot.
- Fans of the 2002 Masters of the Universe series rejoice! The entire series is being released to the Mattel Action Channel on Youtube. The first couple of episodes are already available to watch.
- If you know me at all, you’ll know that I’m over the moon about the Mexican Pizza being back on the permanent menu at Taco Bell once again. And in case you missed it when it dropped months ago on The Retro Network, here are my most missed extinct Taco Bell menu items.
