Every weekend, I like to share a curated list of retro & nostalgia-themed posts that some of my friends have put out recently. It gives you a chance to escape the daily grind, and just sit back and pass the time reading about the good old days. So with that in mind, here is some fun stuff from around the blogosphere I wanted to share with you this week.
- Matt gives us a show as he goes through a 1988 Woolworth’s Halloween circular! (Dinosaur Dracula)
- And since I’m on the subject of Dinosaur Dracula, don’t forget to check him out every day for his “Daily Halloween Thing”. It’s a blog within the blog, as he is updating it every day with new Halloween fun. It’s been a blast so far, and I really love the vibe of a daily blog. I miss those.
- The Retroist reminisces about the early days of Netflix in the ’90s (The Retroist)
- Jason reviews the new Garbage Pail Kids Tarot Deck (Rediscover the ’80s)
- Brandon tells us about his memories of The Mighty Ducks (Middle Aged Fat Kids)
- Check out all of the cartoons that hit the airwaves in 1972 in this fantastic look at the broadcast schedules (Saturday Mornings Forever)
- Chad looks at another wrestling action figure that should be made based on an important moment from the past (The Retro Network)
- Brick shows us 5 Awesome Things on eBay This Week (Plaid Stallions)
