Christmas Through the Decades

One of my favorite things to go back and rewatch every Christmas season is the History Channel’s Christmas Through the Decades series.

Christmas Through the Decades is a four-part documentary series from the History Channel that explores how American holiday traditions evolved from the 1960s through the 1990s.

Each episode focuses on a single decade, highlighting the cultural shifts, iconic toys, music, TV specials, and historical moments that shaped the way Christmas was celebrated. With interviews from experts and pop culture figures, the series blends nostalgia with insight, showing how everything from JFK’s assassination to Star Wars figurines to the rise of MTV influenced the holiday spirit.

So in case you haven’t seen them, I wanted to share all of the episodes with you so you can enjoy them to, and take the trip back in time to see what the Christmas season was like through the decades. If you have an Amazon Prime account, you can watch all four episodes for free. Check them out here. For those of you who don’t have Amazon Prime, you can watch the videos below from Daily Motion. Enjoy!
