New Content This Week

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted anything new here at Retro Ramblings. But that doesn’t mean that I’ve not been busy. If you don’t follow along with me in other corners of the online retroverse, let me point you to a couple of new pieces of content I’ve put out over the last week.

You may notice the lack of my normal Weekend Reading post here. Well. I’ve posted them over at The Retro Network this week under the snazzy name of Nostalgia Nuggets. And in this week’s edition, all of the links center around various traditions related to Thanksgiving. Everything from Thanksgiving movies to the food, the parade, football, and wrestling. I think it’s a buffet of Thanksgiving goodness that you should check out if you enjoy my normal batch of curated links. Check it out here…Nostalgia Nuggets: All About Thanksgiving.

Also over at The Retro Network, I posted a news story about Burger King testing a return of the ’90s classic Cini Minis. If you were a fan, you may want to check out the update.

In the latest issue of This Nostalgic Life newsletter, Eric and I focused on Thanksgiving. While Eric related the tales of what the Thanksgivings of his youth were like, I added an article detailing the early days of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It’s a fun look at how the parade started and includes a copy of the newspaper ad advertising the original parade. It’s well worth a look for nostalgia fans in general, and the parade in particular. Let me add that if you’ve not already subscribed to our free newsletter, I really urge you to. If you enjoy what I do here, you’ll enjoy this too. Plus Eric is a fantastic writer whom more people need to check out. He’s a great partner in the endeavor.

I hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
