Retro Ads: Easter Through the Years

Easter is one of the big commercial holidays here in America, so it should come as no surprise when companies and brands center some of their advertising around the holiday.  The biggest of course would be candy companies, but other brands get in on the marketing holiday as well.  Click through the slide show below to go back in time and check out some of the advertising from through the years.

I bet these would sure be tasty in an Easter basket.
  • Whitmans
Whitmans candy is another staple of major holidays.
  • Peeps
Original marketed at "Easter Mallows", these are the Peeps we know and love today.
  • Pez
Another Easter basket staple. I'd still love an Easter Bunny Pez dispenser now.
  • Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola is an American icon, and they've always had advertising for every occasion.
  • Kool-Aid
Looks like a good color for Easter.
  • Brachs Candy

  • Smarties
Who wouldn't love an egg full of Smarties in their Easter basket.
